Denisse Solis
Denisse (she/her/ella) moved to Denver, Colorado, from Miami, Florida, in 2018, accepting a position as Residency Librarian at the University of Denver until 2020, where she later transitioned to the role of Digital Collections Librarian. She has a passion for REFORMA’s mission, serving on committees at both the national and local level, most recently having served as REFORMA CO Conference Chair in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and traveling.

Amaranda Fregoso
Amaranda Fregoso has spent her entire career working in libraries, growing within the library system. She is currently serving as the Branch Manager at the Parachute Branch Library, within the Garfield County Library District where she is focused on creating a welcoming space for patrons and building strong community connections. She also serves as the chair of the district’s Spanish Services Team, dedicated to expanding access and resources for Spanish-speaking communities.

Nadia Rendón
Nadia loves working with the Spanish speaking community which is why she considers herself very lucky for having the opportunity to serve as the Spanish Services Coordinator at the Denver Public Library. She migrated from Mexico in 2006 and moved to Denver in 2009, where she was able to find a retail job after she received her permanent residency. Her career in libraries started in 2013 when she started working part time in the Plaza program which supported immigrants and refugees. In 2015 she had the opportunity to work full time at a Denver Public Library branch, and more recently this amazing opportunity of working with Spanish speakers and communities of Latino/Hispanic roots opened up for her. With the library, she has had the opportunity to advocate for and support additional bilingual staff recruitment at DPL. She also has had the opportunity to create partnerships with different organizations that serve Latino/Hispanic communities with the purpose of offering their services through the library and vice versa, always bringing library services to where the people are.
A Nadia le encanta trabajar con la comunidad de habla hispana, por lo que se considera muy afortunada de tener la oportunidad de servir como Coordinadora de Servicios en Español en la Biblioteca Pública de Denver. Emigró de México en 2006 y se mudó a Denver en 2009, donde pudo encontrar un trabajo en una tienda después de recibir su residencia permanente. Su carrera en bibliotecas comenzó en 2013 cuando comenzó a trabajar unas horas a la semana en el programa Plaza que apoyaba a inmigrantes y refugiados. En 2015 tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar tiempo completo en una sucursal de la Biblioteca Pública de Denver y, más recientemente, se le presentó esta increíble oportunidad de trabajar con hispanohablantes y comunidades de raíces latinas/hispanas. Con la biblioteca, ha tenido la oportunidad de abogar y apoyar la contratación de personal bilingüe en DPL. Cristy Moran
Cristy Moran (she/ ella) is the Adult Library Services Senior Consultant at the Colorado State Library. She is a librarian and educator who has worked in libraries and education for over 15 years. In supporting all Colorado libraries (including public, academic, and special libraries), her role can best be described as the librarian for librarians in Colorado. Prior to this role, Cristy worked as a faculty librarian in South Florida at Broward College’s North Campus Library, a joint-use facility that additionally served as the North Regional branch of the Broward County Library.
She has experience in statewide service and as Secretary and Board Member for statewide library associations. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the Secretary for the Florida Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries (FACRL). Her service on the FACRL Board included Board Member At-Large from 2019 to 2022 and 2022 to 2023.
Cristy values transparency, open communication, and organization. Through her role in the Colorado State Library, she engages library staff and librarians across the state in different types and sizes of organizations who serve different communities. Serving on the REFORMA Colorado Board as Secretary is one of the ways Cristy hopes to ensure the voices of all library staff can be heard and, likewise, how the work of the organization can be amplified to be heard by all.
Treasurer
Orlando Archibeque
Lando received his BA in Sociology/Social Science from Hastings College (1976), his MA in American Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (1980), and his MA in Librarianship & Information Management from the University of Denver (1981). He has worked in both academic and public libraries in Colorado his entire professional career. In 1990, he joined the library faculty at the Auraria Library; his position morphed several times over the years and he finished his career as the Social Science Researcher Support Librarian. Lando has long been associated at both national and state levels with REFORMA, an organization which has provided him with many networking, professional development, and leadership opportunities, not to mention long-lasting friendships. His fifteen minutes of fame came in 1998 with the publication of Serving Latino Communities: A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians, a book he co-authored with his friend and mentor, Dr. Camila Alire. He has served as Treasurer of the Colorado Chapter since 2013. He retired in 2021 and is now living in Fort Collins, where he enjoys playing hockey and ride his bike with his traveling companions, Taco and Belle.

Vladimir Flores-García
Vladimir es artesano multimedia egresado de la Facultad de Artes y Diseño de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Su obra cultural se caracteriza por la remezcla creativa de tecnologías de la información, comunicación acústica y educación decolonial. Antes de COVID-19, trabajó más de una década como periodista independente, produciendo noticias, documentales y crónicas radiofónicas desde el centro y sur de México. Actualmente es gestor cultural en la Biblioteca Pública de Boulder, Colorado.
Vladimir is a multimedia artist who graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Design of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His cultural work is distinguished by a creative blending of information technologies, free software, and acoustic communication. Prior to COVID-19, he worked as a freelance journalist for over a decade, producing news, documentaries, and radio chronicles from central and southern Mexico. He currently works as a librarian for the Boulder Public Library District.
